Boiler Training and Exam 2025
September 3, 2025 @ 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
The MN Chief Engineers Guild is partnering with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to offer two review courses at the Annual Conference for MNCEG Members.
A Special Engineer review is scheduled for 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, followed by a 60-minute break with lunch provided. The Special Engineer Exam is scheduled for 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm.
A Boiler License Upgrade review (all wishing to test above Special Engineer) is scheduled for 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, followed by a 60-minute break with lunch provided. Boiler License Exams are scheduled for 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm.
Step 1 – Please utilize links below to register for the applicable review.
Step 2 – Apply for the examination via: https://ims.dli.mn.gov/ims/ (instructions listed in Exam details link, below).
Step 3 – When the State confirms approval, schedule the exam utilizing: https://ims.dli.mn.gov/ims/ (instructions listed in Exam details link, below). Ensure you select the correct: Exam location – Breezy Point. Date – September 3, 2025. Time – 1:00PM.

The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry will open scheduling for the Breezy Point Boiler Exams on Thursday, August 7th.

SEPTEMBER 3, 2025 – TIMELINE:
8:00 am – 12:00 pm: Special Engineer Boiler Operator License Review.
10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Review Course for all higher Boiler License classes (above Special Engineer).
12:00 – 1:00 pm: Lunch Break, lunch is provided.
1:00 – 3:30 pm: Exam – All license levels will test in the Pelican Room.
